Big Sur has a special place forever embedded into my heart. Painting the land for years now as an artist I am captivated by its rugged beauty and resilience of both the land and its people. This will be my third year designing and modeling in the Big Sur Fashion Show. The importance of this show for me is using the stage as a container to tell a story, to create beauty out of pain in hopes that others can relate to it. I continue to unveil parts of my personal stories as well as my passion for both human and environmental rights. The Fashion Show is an opportunity for me to express myself through movement before my community as a ritual, a medicine dance.

This year’s theme has sparked one of the most intimate stories of my childhood and I am looking forward in moving through it and somatically freeing up space in my body. This will be a celebration of reclaiming the wildness we all have within us but often quieted through painful circumstances.

The time is now to be seen, to take up space, to use my voice to rise into who I was always meant to be. I wish this for all of humanity to hear the call and activate their soul .Thank you to the Big Sur Fashion Show for witnessing my evolution, healing and spiritual journey, year after year.
